One very early morning, while out walking my dog, I was given my own special, ghostly and beautiful flypast by a group of swans.
Their silhouettes shimmered in the distance and as they drew closer, my eye settled and drew a beat on them, they made progress like a squadron in formation, a sortie at dawn.
The sound of their wings as they went directly over my head reminded me of the timpani's as they swell in the orchestra. And as quick as they arrived , they were no more than shimmering white lines on the opposite horizon again.

I headed home and recorded this.
